I want to start running every morning for about 20 minutes on my treadmill, and then maybe gradually work my way up to 30 minutes. I’m 15 and about 135 pounds. I was wondering if I ate well, and continued to exercise every morning, when would I start seeing a difference in my weight and body?

At the moment im eating just over 1000 calories a day and i am walking 3 miles a day and i am 196 lbs and 5′11
When do you think i will start noticing my weight loss when i look in the mirror? & how long should it take me to drop a jean size?

I remember reading something about this in a Kubler-Ross’s Death and Dying class, but was sleeping or something else held my fancy at that time - probably the living cutie pies in the front row. I thought it was said that ALL possible weight variables were controlled for with hospice patients who volunteered for this “study,” and it was proven conclusively that everytime a person died, there was recordable weight loss between 1-5 lbs!

or does the weight loss occur in the specific area you are exercising? i want to know beacuse i am hula hooping for an hour everyday and burning 660calories per hour ( i use a weighted hoop) so will i lose weight in my waist olny , or will weight loss be distributed all over the body ?

i bought these new weight loss shakes at cos co and it says that it can be a one or two meal replacement…when is the best time to drink it?…skip breakfast and drink it…skip lunch and drink it…or skip dinner and drink it?

i started my cat on k/d diet per recommendation from my vet. since she has started this food, she has lost weight (almost 2lbs since 7/2/07). before this diet change, she was a chubby cat, and i tried forever different weight control foods that did not work. she is acting the same, going to the bathroom the same, and even playing the same. the only change i’m noticing right now is her weight. i cannot get ahold of my vet today, so i thought i would ask to for opinions about this.. could this be just from giving her a more healthy diet? is that much of a weight loss in that amount of time normal? i tried searching the internet, and could not find information i am looking for. thank you in advance for any information shared.

I know that the healthy weight loss amount for one week is 1 - 2 lbs. If you go from barely exercising and not eating well, to changing your eating and exercise habits, itsn’t it true that in the beginning you usually drop more than that in a week for the first 2 or 3 weeks because your body is used to a higher caloric intake?

I have done the Atkins diet before successfully and realize that every little bit of hidden sugar and carbs (like in diet sodas) will slow down your weight loss dramatically. What I was wondering is if I am doing the Atkins diet, would taking Hoodia pills help me in my weight loss or slow it down ?
